Double-Pitch Tunnel for Small Gates

Double-pitch tunnel for small gates is a simpler, more modern variant of the arched solution; it is usually used to cover pedestrian entrances and is supplied complete with sloping ribs and cover sheets, with optional gutter channels and load-bearing and/or raised structure. The system can also be supplied as an ASSEMBLY KIT.

Description

Designed for the protection of entrance gates. The complete system includes the ribs and cover sheets, to be integrated with the longitudinal sheet-retaining profiles, any gutter channels. A load-bearing and/or raised structure is also possible (in the absence of adequate wall supports) with relative fixing plates and concealed joints. The system can also be supplied as an ASSEMBLY KIT and, where the size allows, ASSEMBLED.
Made with aluminium extrusions profiles (col. ox electrocolour BLACK / SILVER, RAL 9010 White / 6005 Green / 8017 Brown / 3000 Red / 7016 Grey / 9006 Silver / 9005 matt black / ANTIQUE GREY); cover with sheets colour CLEAR/OPAL/BRONZE.
DOUBLE-PITCH version characterized by 30° Possible solution with a springing angle at 45° on request

TUNNEL for entrance gate cover: double-pitch (springing angle 30° or 45°) made as follows:

  • Metal completion frame in aluminium extrusions anodised / painted RAL, complete with:
  • Ribs type X1M / X3M, with Y joint, dim. mm. 50/70 x 15/18, designed for insertion of double gaskets;
  • Sheet-retaining flat bars type X4P / X3P, dim. mm. 50/70 x 5, designed for insertion of double gaskets;
  • Gaskets in ethylene-propylene based compound, black colour, Shore hardness 65 ± 5, type GSP3EC (g/m 55 approx.) / GSP8EC (g/m 130 approx.) / GSP5EC (g/m 80 approx.);
  • Angular profiles of aluminium extrusions with an appropriate angle, complete with ridge and under-ridge sheet metal flashings;
  • X10 / X13 / XMOB / X13 / twor variable angle hinged elements, with dedicated joint for setting the springing angle, or type XMDLAT /T80202RIF for holding sheets with cantilevered ribs, complete with appropriate section angle profile acting as a pressure bar;

Alternatively:

  • Side and/or intermediate Gutter channel in extruded type XCANP / XCANG complete with XMOB type sheets containment profile, with dedicated joint on both sides for adjusting the springing angle. The gutter channel will be complete with special concealed joint elements, superimposed to ensure the perfect water seal and aluminum sp closure caps. 30/10;

The metal frame above must be fixed to suitable existing metal/wall supports; in the absence of suitable load-bearing structure, the supply must be integrated with load-bearing structure in aluminium extrusions anodised / painted RAL composed of:

  • 84 x 84 with rounded edges, with special hollows for inserting concealed joint type XINN52.
  • XINN52 type joint, for XCANP / XCANG or XPIL edge beam mounting;
  • Fixing sheets in aluminium, of a suitable size, assembled with XINN59 type joint or fittingly dimensioned pipe fitting, for fixing of XPIL pin;
  • Any crossovers type XPIL of section mm. 84×84 with rounded edges, with special hollows for inserting concealed joint type XINN52, complete with aluminium sp closure caps. 30/10;

Covering with sheets in one of the following alternatives:

Solid polycarbonate coextruded UV-protected, thickness suitable for bending radius and rib spacing, colour CLEAR / OPAL / BRONZE inserted with free sliding; fire reaction Class Bs1d0. Multiwall polycarbonate coextruded UV-protected, of thickness suitable for rib spacing, colour CLEAR / OPAL / BRONZE inserted with free sliding; fire reaction Class Bs1d0. Variable rib spacing according to dimensions.
