APPLICATIONS AND ADVANTAGES
The Ouverture solution makes it possible to control light transmission and solar radiation, making it the ideal alternative for anyone who is not satisfied with a simple awning and wants to protect and enhance outdoor spaces such as gardens, penthouses, pergolas, gazebos and verandas, in any residential or commercial setting.
The ability to adjust the louvers up to 120° offers a series of advantages over other types of covering, whether made of wood, fabric or tiles of various kinds:
- adjusting light intensity as desired, an essential element in any environment;
- partially closing the louvers in warm months to obtain natural ventilation and maintain a pleasant temperature even in the sun, while keeping the area shaded;
- ensuring brightness in adjacent indoor rooms during winter, while reducing indirect solar radiation in summer, which usually increases heat inside the rooms.
The materials used in this high-quality solution guarantee regular operation even after years of use, requiring minimal maintenance compared with wooden pergolas; the aluminium louvers also provide rigidity to the structure, with good resistance to falling objects compared, for example, with fabric awnings.
THE OUVERTURE SYSTEM
Ouverture integrates perfectly with a wide range of customisable solutions and structures, according to the specific residential context, using wood, aluminium, iron and masonry, with custom and modular dimensions to meet every requirement with the best quality, aesthetic and functional result.
It is characterised by extruded aluminium louvers approximately 220 mm wide, specifically designed to channel rainwater and to accommodate EPDM gaskets that help ensure good watertightness. The louvers, usually supplied with a maximum length of 3250 mm for each single module, can be reinforced by inserting dedicated stiffening profiles intor the internal seats designed for this purpose, allowing use over greater lengths, or simply placed side by side with a dedicated central upright to create multiple sectors. Installation with the louvers parallel to the wall is recommended.
The system also includes twor lateral aluminium extrusion uprights with a load-bearing function, specifically designed to house the complete operating mechanism, including any electric actuator, and to support twor lateral extruded drip channels if required, allowing rainwater channelled by the special shape of the louvers to drain away.
The basic Ouverture system can also be integrated with support brackets and/or suitably sized pillars, portals supported by columns, front gutter channel, wall flashing and various sheet-metal flashings, LED lighting, full or partial infill, fixed or openable vertical blinds, manual or motorised operation, and optional rain / snow / wind sensors.
